Mary Agnes Stevens-Gifford February 15, 1927 December 9, 2008 Mary Agnes Stevens-Gifford, 81, of Cass Street in Niles passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Tuesday, December 9, 2008. Mary was born on February 15, 1927 in Lowell, Indiana. She was adopted in Ft. Wayne, IN by her loving parents Walter N. and Agnes (Kretz) Masterson and raised in Chicago, IL. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter N. and Agnes Masterson, husband Victor Stevens in 1955 and live in companion of over 40 years John Gifford in 2007 and son Gerald Stevens in 1982. Mary is survived by her children Katherine Stevens of Plymouth, IN, Jeffery (Donna) Stevens of Vine Grove, KY, Laura (Rudolph) Schoewe of Chicago, IL and Cheryl Swartz of South Bend, IN, grandchildren John, Victor, Heather and Jerry Jr. (Gina) Stevens, Debbi (Brian) Graves, William and Nikki Stevens, Robert, Jamie and Ricky Milam, Rudolph V. (Millie) and Shawn M. (Kim) Schoewe and Stephanie (Timothy) Gambro and 15 great grandchildren. Mary will also be missed by her loving caregivers and nurses Jan Mann, Millie Lewis, Cordell Mitchell, Ann Nemeth and Sheila Neuman.
