Obituary of Raina Garcia

Raina Marie Garcia, 5 weeks, passed peacefully into eternal grace, resting in the arms of her mommy and daddy on Monday, December. 15, 2008 at Riley Hospital for Children, Indianapolis due to complex congenital heart defects. She was born November 10, 2008 at Riley Hospital to Nicholas and Julie (Cloud) Garcia of Elkhart. Raina is survived by her parents; grandmother, Sally Garcia of Warsaw; grandfather, Ray Garcia of Tucson, AZ; great-grandparents Sharon and Clay Gratz of Crystal River, FL, Mary Ann and Edwin Ripplinger of Union, MI, Duane Cloud of Union, MI, and Lina Alvarez of Puerto Rico; great-great grandmother June Thompson of Albertville, MN; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Linda Nienow, and grandfather, Dan Cloud. Services for Raina will be held at Winding Waters Brethren Church, 420 CR 4, Elkhart, on Saturday, December 20th. An hour of visitation will be held prior to the 11:30 am service. Burial at Plum Grove Cemetery, Union, Michigan will follow the service. A time of togetherness and lunch will be held at Winding Waters Brethren Church following the burial. Although Raina's time here was short, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her fighting spirit surprised and amazed even the most experienced members of her medical team. Raina will not fade from the memory or hearts of many people worldwide.
