Obituary of Lavoe Priest

Please share a memory of Lavoe to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It was at 1:45 am New Years eve 2008, that B. LaVoe Stewart (Priest) , of 61013 Indian Lake Road in Niles, the mama of Odie (living), Howie, Ricky and Martha (who are deceased) Stewart. LaVoe was wife to Odas W. Stewart (deceased) and her beloved second husband Andrew Priest (also deceased) for 13 Lord given years. Andy also provided to us a great step family, Marilyn and Laura Schaffert and Bruce Priest of Niles. I know that with the calm on her face she had peace in heart. I am content upon her accepting the calling of her heavenly family and her savior Jesus Christ. Not only had she been an awesome mother, wife, mentor and friend to countless others, she was a proud, proud woman who was very prideful in being an active member of Rolling Thunder chapter two South Bend, Indiana. Mama also appreciated her fortunate participation with the fine membership of the Christian Motorcycle Association. Her strong belief in our Lord Jesus was very welcomed and well respected as she shared his word and ways as a Lay Minister for the Southwestern Medical Clinic, Niles. My mama had touched the lives of many and by doing so she touched all areas of the community, Especially tutoring literacy at the Ferry Street school (Niles) some year ago. I love my mama for who she was and her self accomplishments. No doubt she well be center of conversations which may take place, as she is remembered by those who knew her as being feisty and opinionated. She shall live on in those thoughts and well be missed by me Odie Stewart and her puppies. The plan is to have graveside services for mama, and her mother Mariam Carr who had passed a year ago, at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Niles, late May. On January 12, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. there will be a service held for my mama B. Lavoe Priest and her mother Mariam Carr formerly of Benton Harbor at their attended church, Fulkerson Baptist, 1234 Fulkerson Street Niles, MI. Following will be a pot luck dinner at the Stop In Restaurant, 1201 Barron Lake Road. Niles, MI.
