Marshall M. Anders, 78, of Coleman Florida , formerly of Dowagiac, passed away at the home of his daughter on March 11, 2009, following an illness. He was born on March 25, 1930 in Dowagiac , Michigan to the late Delbert and Mary (Rife) Anders. On August 4, 1955 Marshall married Alberta Carpenter, who preceded him in death in 2002. Marshall was retired from Sunstrand after thirty five years of service. He was not the kind of man who could sit around, so after retirement he went to work at Judd Lumber for ten years. When not working, Marshall enjoyed fishing, camping and mostly being a Papa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and two sisters Charlotte Moore and Fern Welch. Marshall is survived by two sons Marshall (Phoebe) Anders Jr. of Hardyville, Kentucky and Michael (Debra) Anders of Cassopolis, three daughters; Marchele (Fred) Stoker of Dowagiac, Teresa Mullan of Coleman, Florida and Terri (Michael Conklin) Anders of Hardyville, Kentucky, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three brothers; Victor (Helen) Anders of Dowagiac, Delbert "Pete" (Lillian) Anders of Florida, Melvin (Sheila) Anders of Dowagiac, three sisters Kathy (Tim) Watson of Dowagiac, Patricia (Carl) Sibley of Dowagiac and Peggy Anders of Dowagiac.
