Obituary of Ilah Belle Tumbleson

Ilah B. (Reynolds) Tumbleson, 83, of Dowagiac, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 13, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 8, 1929 in Niles, Michigan to the late William F. and Josephine (Snouwaert) Reynolds. After graduating from high school Ilah married William R. Tumbleson at a ceremony on January 29, 1947 in South Bend, Indiana. She retired after many years of service at Tyler Refrigeration in Niles, where she worked as a secretary. Ilah was also a wonderful homemaker that loved to collect recipes, cook, bake and garden. She mostly valued her time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Tumbleson. Ilah is survived by her three sons; Roger (Marie) Tumbleson of Niles, Larry (Debbie) Tumbleson of Dowagiac and Alan (Jan) Tumbleson of Dowagiac, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In keeping with Ilah's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made in Ilah's memory to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan 222 N. Kalamazoo Mall, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49007.
