Obituary of Lura Thoendel

Lura Thoendel, 97, of Walker Street in Lawton, passed away at LakeView Continuing Care Center in Lawton on Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Lura was born on September 22, 1911 to the late Ernest and Zetta Proctor. She was one of 10 children.
After school Lura wed the love of her life, Gus Thoendel at a ceremony in Nebraska on June 27, 1931. Together they had 1 daughter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gus and 9 brothers and siblings.
Lura is survived by her daughter Juanita (Roger) Westphal of Decatur, Michigan 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
In keeping with Lura's wishes she has been cremated and a private family service has taken place. Lura was interred at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in the garden of the Old Rugged Cross.
