Obituary of Lillian Tarchala

Lillian L. Tarchala May 17, 1938 March 28, 2009 Lillian L. (Michaelson) Tarchala, 70, of Vernon Street, Niles, passed away on Saturday March 28, 2009 at RiverCrest Specialty Hospital in Mishawaka, Indiana, following an extended illness. She was born on May 17, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Irving and Elizabeth (Brown) Michaelson. Lillian married Robert Joseph Tarchala, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Tarchala. A homemaker most of her life, when working Lillian enjoyed doing what she did best, cooking. She was a terrific chef and also enjoyed reading, traveling spending time outdoors and being with her family. She is survived by three sons; Alan (Lisa) Tarchala of Plymouth, Indiana, Ronald Tarchala of Indianapolis, Indiana and Paul (Michelle) Tarchala of Plymouth, Indiana, a daughter Josse (Yon) Goode of Williston, Florida, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two sisters Enid (Larry) Clark of Plymouth, Indiana and Marcia (Larry) Klimek of Chesterton, Indiana. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial is being held by her family.
