Family of Richard. On May 7th. at 1:05 A.M. God looked down on Richard and said "Son, you have suffered enough. In all of your pain you have never given up on me. You never showed your pain or complained to anyone. I have a garden for you to work in" At 1:10 A.M. God sent an Angel to get Richard. Richard was so happy to see the Angel. As Richard was going to the Garden, he waved to his family whom he loved and all of his friends that are left behind.
God was waiting for him and with his arms outstretched God said "Welcome home my son. From now on, you will have no more pain or no more burdens to worry about. Family, I have known Richard since 1963. No better friend could we have had. Always willing to help. Never wanted anyone to help him.
Richard was ready to meet Jesus. We have had many talks about it. Richard, we will miss you. Our loss, but God's gain. We will see you later. Marvin and Pearl.

Sorry to read of Richard's death in the paper. I've know Richard since 1942 when I lived at 207 New York Ave., across from the Charles Mosher family and next to me lived Jim Moses and wife. Peg and I used to see Richard a lot as we passed his house every day on our 3 mile walk. I think the last time I saw him to talk to for any length of time was when he rode his bike up to our house and purchased some of my books and had me sign them. I remember we had a nice long visit and tallked of all the old residents on your street. I'm sure you boys remember old Mary Wells across from your house. Do you remember he old car? We talked of the Julien family, Helen Waterson and the Lieber's. I think Richard even bought a book for Al Mott, who I remember when he lived in Dowagiac. His mother was a big lady - Irene, and he had a sister Margaret. If you guys are in Dowagiac sometime stop and see old Cardinal Charlie. Guess what? I have an e-mail address but no computer. My press secretary Marge lives in Kalamazoo and my private secretary Helen Leich here in Dowagiac, have taken care of my many e-mails since my book was published. Two nice gals. I just wanted to let you know you have my sympathy on your brother's death and I'm sure he will be missed by a lot of my readers.

Mr. Fox will truly be missed in Dowagiac.
He and my father worked together, and after my dad retired, Mr. Fox would pick him up and they would have coffee with the Dowagiac Retirees, I believe they called themselves the "Romeos".
Thank you for being a kind a caring person.

Mr. Fox, I've missed seeing you walk around the corner of the office, your smiles, it seems the neighborhood is empty without you. You will be greatly missed.
