Obituary of Mildred Hibbard

Mildred Oleta (Craig) Hibbard June 2, 1916 May 28, 2009 Mildred "Millie" O. Anders-Hibbard, 92, of Gilbert Avenue in Niles passed away at Country Living Assisted Care Home in Niles on Thursday, May 28, 2009. Millie was born on June 2, 1916 to the late Otha and Lettie (Fetters) Craig in Lewis County, Kentucky. She was one of 9 children growing up in the Craig household. Millie wed Edward Hibbard at a ceremony in Dowagiac, Michigan on June 19, 1982. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward, parents, brothers Everett, Walter, Ermel and Jake "Willie" Craig and sisters Flossie Crowder, Mae Haun, Florence Osborne and Beulah Vance. Millie is survived by her children Darrell (Trudy) Mackey of Dowagiac and Robin (Ron) Kent of Dowagiac, Michigan, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with a service to honor Millie's life on Monday, June 1 at 11 am. Millie will be interred at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens in the Garden of Christus.
