Obituary of Leslie Grant

Leslie "Les" W. Grant June 7, 1950 June 24, 2009 Leslie "Les" W. Grant, 59, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 7, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Lemont Eugene and Mary Jane (Clouse) Grant. After serving his country in the US Army Les went on to work a local factories. Les married Glenda Fairleigh and to that marriage had three children. The couple was together eight years then divorced, although sharing a friendship and love for their children and grandchildren. He also spent ten years in Texas where he worked in skyscraper construction. Les also loved his job driving all over the country for the R.V. industry. His hobbies included riding his Harley, traveling and mostly his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Marla Miller and Sharon Fuller and a brother Jerry Grant. Leslie is survived by a son Mike (Trisha) Grant of Dowagiac, two daughters Melissa Grant of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Melinda Grant of Dowagiac, two grandchildren Tyler Howland of Dowagiac and Leslee Grant of Gulf Port, Mississippi, three brothers; Jim (Darlene) Grant, Bill Grant, Bob (Cathy) Grant, two sisters Carol (Larry) Melton and Linda Grant all of Dowagiac. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2009 at 3:oo p.m. at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel 61453 M-51 N., Niles, with Pastor Eva Buthy officiating.
