Robert L. Horton, 56, of West Shawnee Road in Baroda passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan, late on Thursday, September 17, 2009 with his family by his side. Robert was born on March 18, 1951 to the late Arthur and Irma (Dover) Horton in Plymouth, Indiana. He was one of 11 children in the Horton household He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers John and Art Horton and sister Jean Norris. Robert is survived by his wife Shirley, sons Michael (Ashley) Horton of Stoneville, North Carolina and Kenneth (Amanda) Horton of Baroda, Michigan, grandchildren Caleb De Hart, Michael De Hart, Faith Horton, Bobbi Horton, Alyssa Harris, Desmond Harris, Aidan Harris, Tyler Smith and Kirston Smith, siblings Ellen (Joe) Zebell of Three Oaks, Michigan, David Horton of Galien, Michigan, Donny (Debbie) Horton of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Russell Horton of Okalhoma, Rex (Robin) Horton of Elkhart, Indiana, Donna (Larry) Eeson of Dowagiac, Jeff Horton of New Buffalo, Michigan, sister-in-law Connie Horton and brother-in-law Ronnie Norris. In keeping with Robert's wishes he has been cremated and private family services will take place.
