Obituary of Waylend Tittle

Waylend Tittle, 51, of Buchanan, passed away suddenly, of natural causes, on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph. He was born on May 16, 1966 in Niles to Willie J. and B. Sue (Ott) Tittle. A graduate of Brandywine High School, Waylend went on to work as a machinist for several local factories including many years at Niles Precision. On June 5, 1993 he married Jody L. Cowe at a ceremony in Niles. An avid sports enthusiast, participating in several sports during school years, Waylend spent much of his lifetime following the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame football. He also enjoyed time on the golf course or the many nights bowling. He has been a lifelong member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Buchanan where he was the treasurer as well as song leader. Waylend also enjoyed time spent with his family and watching his daughter play softball. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, David Cowe. Waylend is survived by his wife, Jody Tittle of Buchanan, his daughter, Halee Tittle of Buchanan, his parents, Willie and Sue Tittle of Niles,a grandmother, Erma Ott of Niles, a sister, Patricia (Richard) Longley of Niles, mother-in-law, Nancy Cowe of Niles, sister-in-law, Shailah (Jason) Nowlin of Niles, brother-in-law, Benjamin (Jenn) Cowe of Niles, nieces; Audrey Longley, Aria and Serynn Nowlin, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
