Obituary of Harold Polfus

Harold Polfus February 8, 1925 September 21, 2009 Harold Polfus, 84, of West Glenlord Road in St. Joseph, Michigan passed away at his home Monday morning, September 21, 2009 with his family by his side. Harold was born on February 8, 1925 to the late Gustav and Rose (Rock) Polfus in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Harold was one of 8 children raised in the Polfus household. After graduating from high school Harold joined the United States Army. On May 31, 1952 Harold wed the love of his life, Jeanette at a ceremony in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Harold is survived by his wife, Jeanette, of 57 years, sons Stephen (Leslie) Polfus of Houston, Texas and William (Patricia) Polfus of Oakridge, Tennessee and 5 grandchildren and his sister Evelyn LaVanway. A memorial service to honor Harold's life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 10:30 am at Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Glenn Rosenbaum will be officiating. Harold will be inurned at North Shore Memory Gardens in the Garden of the Apostles.
