Carole Laverne Helms, 72, of St. Joseph passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 following an illness.
She was born on October 18, 1937 in Mishawaka to the late Carl Sr. and Bessie (Stanage) Rodgers. Carole was one of two children growing up in the Rodgers household.
Carole wed the love of her life Bobby Helms Sr. on June 25, 1955 at a ceremony in Niles.
She is preceded in death by her husband Bobby Helms Sr. and parents Carl and Bessie.
Carole is survived by a daughter Cindy (Don) Lannan of Buchanan, two sons, Bobby Jr. (Kathy) Helms of Buchanan and David Helms of Niles, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother Carl Rodgers Jr. of Galien.
