Obituary of Ellsworth H. Gemberling

Ellsworth H. Gemberling, 91, of Ocala, Florida previous of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his daughter's residence in Ocala, following an illness. He was born on May 11, 1918 in Three Rivers, Michigan to the late Elmer and Mancie (Andress) Gemberling. Ellsworth received an honorable discharge after serving his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII where he received a bronze star. Ellsworth wed the love of his life Lillian (Probst) Gemberling on July 10, 1954 at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. She preceded him in death in 1989. In 1980 Ellsworth retired from Sibley's Foundry after thirty five years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed carpentry work and could always be found building or fixing things for others. Ellsworth also loved being outdoors and planting trees and flowers. All who knew him remember his gentle loving kindness to everyone he met. Ellsworth is survived by his daughter Norma (LeRoy) Hartline of Ocala, Florida, three grandchildren Michael and Donald Hartline of South Bend and Steven Hartline of Niles and five great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 6-8pm at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:00am at Brown Funeral Home with a committal service following at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
