Obituary of Sharon Haney

Sharon L. (Nichols) Haney, 56, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 23, 2009, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1953 to the late Neal H. and Erna (Wilkinson) Nichols. Sharon graduated from Niles High School class of 1972. She worked in customer service for many years. Her hobbies included collecting Santas and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sharon was a gifted artist, and enjoyed drawing. She also loved all styles and eras of music. She is survived by her husband Billy Riggs of Niles, two sons Mark and Rodney (Micki) Haney of Niles, four grandchildren; Jacob, Tyler, Heidi and Ashley Haney all of Niles, a sister Gail (Bill) Hall of Niles, a brother Dennis (Patricia) Nichols of Niles and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Niles with Pastor Chris Krutchow officiating. A time of visitation will be one hour prior. An interment will be held in the spring at Dailey Cemetery in Cassopolis. Memorial contributions for Sharon may be made to Hospice at Home, Inc 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085.
