Obituary of Roger Dale Ernsperger

Roger D. Ernsperger, 61, of Niles, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, surrounded by his family, following an extended illness.
He was born on June 7, 1948 in South Bend to the late Glenn and Violet (Wright) Ernsperger.
On July 7, 1973 Roger married Phyllis Thornton at a ceremony in Niles.
Roger worked in various factories in the area while his health allowed. After retirement he enjoyed watching television, drinking coffee with his friends and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Fred Gross.
Roger is survived by his wife Phyllis of Niles, two sons Christopher Rice of Niles and Stacy (A.J.) Ernsperger of South Bend, two daughters Elizabeth and Patricia Ernsperger both of Niles, three grandchildren; Elijah and Madisen Ernsperger of Niles and Avery Asbury of Niles, five brothers; Dennis Ernsperger of Niles, Lynn (Amy) Ernsperger of Niles, Dean (Jane) Ernsperger of South Bend, David (Linda) Ernsperger of South Bend, Jerry Ernsperger of Augusta, Georgia, three sisters; Carol (Henry) Gold of Niles, Sharon (Ed) Faher of Eau Claire and Sandy (Dave) Dickey of Niles.
In keeping with Roger's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later time
