Obituary of Dorothy Helen Younts

Dorothy Helen Younts, 89, of Mall Drive in Lansing, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Eaton Community Hospice House in Charlotte, Michigan. Dorothy was born on May 7, 1920 to the late William and Lillie Mae (Kempton) Leatherman. On August 20, 1938 Dorothy wed John Leroy Younts at a ceremony in St. Joseph, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband John and siblings Opal Littlejohn, Ola Lawrence, Ruth Leatherman, Beulah (Edward) Frost and Joseph Leatherman. Dorothy is survived by her children Robert (Shirley) Younts of Benson, Arizona, Delores (Donald) Unsell of Box Elder, Montana and Theodore (Karen) Younts of Potterville, Michigan, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Pennway Church of God, located at 1101 East Cavanaugh Road, Lansing, Michigan 48910. Dorothy was lovingly cared for by the Eaton Community Hospice and the family asks that memorial donations may be made in Dorothy's memory go to the Eaton Community Hospice House at 2675 South Cochran Road, Charlotte, Michigan 48813.
