Obituary of Ralph Bimm II

Ralph "Tyke" Bimm, 60, of Niles, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2016 at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles.
He was born July 19, 1956 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Tyke attended the Michigan School for the Deaf and was proficient in American Sign Language. After high school, Tyke moved to St. Paul, Minnesota and remained there for thirty years before recently coming home to take care of his mother and be with his family in Niles. He enjoyed building model cars and planes, spending time outdoors and always enjoyed motorcycles. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and practical jokes.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Bimm, Sr., his step-father Raymond Parker, Jr. and his long-time companion, Sally Thompson.
Tyke is survived by his mother, Marilyn Parker of Niles, two sisters, Sydney (Doug) Liggett of Niles, Beverly (Jason) Savelli of Folsom, California, nieces; Megan (Ryan) Wagner of Charlotte, North Carolina, Michael Money of Hartford, Michigan and Jack Savelli of California and two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Tyke's memory to the National Association for the Deaf.
A memorial service will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M51 in Niles on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. An interment will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
