May he rest in peace for he has risen in glory! I knew David as kid. I only connected with him once as an adult, at an all school reunion. He was then as I remembered him as a kid--genuine, caring, giving, authentic. David was the kind of person we should all aspire to be. I remember his wife, Viky and son Travis well from that brief meeting and I am blessed for it. You could only smile when in the presence of this family for you could feel their love for each other, life and for The Lord. I will keep all of you in my prayers and I look forward to seeing David again in heaven. Robyn Sybeldon Gravier Stayton

What a wonderful person and good friend. We will never forget all the good times we shared camping, Super Bowl parties, New Year's Eve parties, and much more. Our hearts go out to Viky and Travis, Adam and Ashley. He will forever be in our thoughts.

My 7 year old had several questions about what Dave is doing now, sharing a love of cars he asked me if there was a speed limit in heaven. Considering Daves passion, picturing the hot rod he undoubtedly rode up there in, i didn't hesitate to tell him...he has no limit now...It's kind of God's Speed buddy.
I've written many papers and given countless presentations on historic hero's. Again today I'm giving a speech about a great man. But today is personal. Todays subject was one of our own. My uncle lived the way admirable men are supposed to, he was my aunts better half and this loss I need to write home about.
When I was 10 my Aunt Viky met the prince on the white horse, but he was disguised as a father of two who was lucky to make his living doing what he loved; cars. We didn't know what to make of him, he was simple and even keel. Quite the opposite of our family! We rant and rave, are quick to share opinions of one another and we are loud and stubborn. He most certainly wasn't sticking around long. I'm 38, and he never left. He calmed my aunt and balanced everything about a partnership that we all dream of.
Dave, I just may give this speech about you, and our loss, front and center with my ND or Bears sweatshirt on ;-)...just to do our rival team razzing one last time. But as much as you know I like to have the last word, this time it's half hearted...because today, we have the harsh realization that we go on without the real Diamond in our family. Watching what you were for my aunt and Travis, there are countless times you epitomize 'the cup runneth over' tag that only the good ones get. You are what defines truly good stuff.
...and mostly, 'Godspeed' Dave.
Your niece, Steph

I was part of Daves high school class. He was a joy to be around. We will all miss his wit at the class reunions. You have my deepest sympathy.

Viky and Travis, my heart goes out to you both, and to Dave's children. I know how hard this is for you, and wish I could be there to support you. I will continue to pray for you to get through this. Dave was a wonderful man, and he loved you both so much. Keep your memories of him close to help you through, and know that I am only a phone call away. I love you!

He was one special person. One of the most unselfish generous individuals I ever met. I will always cherish those memories of the Michigan UP, bowling (we both stunk together), and get-togethers. My condolences to Vicky and family for this tremendous loss. Eddy Stefanek
