Obituary of Nancy Lou Rolland

Nancy L. Rolland, 67, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010 in Lakeland Regional Hospital in St. Joseph. She was born on May 8, 1943 in Benton Harbor to the late Thomas L. and Nora M. (Case) Decker. On November 9, 1962 Nancy married Eli Rolland at a ceremony in Three Oaks, Michigan. Nancy was a teacher's aid for many years at Martindale School and a seamstress at Adents Bridal Shop in St. Joe. She was a faithful member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Nancy enjoyed woodworking, crafts and sewing. Nancy fought and won a courageous battle with cancer. She was a proud member of Chemo-sabie cancer support group. Surviving Nancy is her husband Eli Rolland of Benton Harbor, a son Jeffrey Rolland of Benton Harbor, two daughters Tina (Joseph) Costigan of Spring, Texas and Tanya (Ronald) Balkin of Benton Harbor, Michigan, two brothers; Donald (Deb) Decker of Portage, Michigan and Thomas Decker of Portage, Michigan three sisters; Darel (Walter) Peterson of Sister Lakes, Donna (Douglas) Schmutte of St. Joseph and Janice Rietz of St. Joseph, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
