Obituary of Mary Agnes Hartman

Mary Hartman, 73, of Edwardsburg, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital with her family by her side. Mary Hartman was born on December 7, 1939 in South Bend to the late Rudolph and Florence (Janowski) Depaepe. On February, 6, 1965 Mary married the love of her life Anton "Tony" Hartman at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from South Bend Central High School she went on to work for AEP as an office clerk where she retired after 38 years of dedicated service. Mary enjoyed spending in her garden and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Clark Hartman. Mary is survived by two sons, Gary (Starr) Hartman of South Bend, Joseph (Lynn) Hartman of Edwardsburg, three grandchildren; Jacob Hartman, Jasmine Hartman and Alexis Ham, two sisters, Ann Hwraboy of Tennessee, Helen (Tom) Davis of Niles and a brother Rudolph (Ruth) Depaepe of North Carolina. A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24 at Brown Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Services to honor her life will be held Friday, October 25 at 11:00am with a time of visitation one hour prior at the Funeral Home. Father Joe McCormick will be officiating and doing the services of Christian Burial. Interment will follow the services at Cedar Grove Cemetery at Notre Dame. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's honor to the Hartman family.
