Obituary of Eleanor Mae Sharp

Eleanor Mae (Berry) Sharp, 93, of Niles, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, January 26, 2011 at West Woods of Niles.
She was born on July 20, 1917 in Three Rivers, Michigan to the late Arthur and Laura (Strohm) Berry.
On September 10, 1934 Eleanor married Walter Sharp at a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana.
A homemaker most of her life, Eleanor was always very active in the Niles Moose and Eagles. She was a member of the Eagle Auxiliary and served as past-president. She loved reading, watching Notre Dame Football, listening to Big Band and Jazz music and watching westerns. Eleanor never met a stranger and will be missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1971, her son Richard D. Sharp in 1988, a great-granddaughter Michelle Lamb in 1999 and a brother Richard Berry.
Eleanor is survived by a daughter Beverly (Edward) Cottrell of Niles, six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
In keeping with Eleanor's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor's memory to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
