Obituary of Todd L. Blatchford

Todd Laurence Blatchford, 51, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011 at Lakeland Hospice at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. Todd was born on December 3, 1959 to Laurence H. Blatchford and Jean Blatchford McDonald in Kansas City, Kansas. Todd graduated from Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, Illinois in 1978 and The University of Arizona, Tucson in 1983 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Radio and T.V. Communications. He is survived by his ex-wife Susan Kollmer Blatchford, his adopted children Jennifer (Seth) Whitson and Scean Blatchford and his grandchildren Aaron & Sara Whitson, all of Park Forest & Richton Park, Illinois; his mother Jean Blatchford McDonald of Watervliet, Michigan; brothers Lane (Kathryn) Blatchford of Paris, Michigan, Scot Blatchford of St. Joseph, Michigan and a sister Allison (Scott) MacLagan of Valparasio, Indiana. Several nieces and nephews Kirk, Kenton and Kelsey Blatchford of Paris, Michigan and Brooklynn, Clayton and Campbell MacLagan of Valparaiso, Indiana and an uncle Josiah (Bobbi) Blatchford of Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his father, Laurence, grandparents Elsie & Percival Blatchford, Dorothy and Eldred Moag and Clarence Allison and uncles Jack (Virginia) Blatchford and James Allison. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service for the immediate family will take place. Memorials may be made to Lakeland Regional Medical Center or Lakeland Hospice, St. Joseph, Michigan.
