George Leland Bulmon, 78, of Dowagiac, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Silverbrook Manor Nursing Home in Niles. George Bulmon was born on June 3, 1933 in Osseo, Michigan to the late Delbert and Gladys (Northrup) Bulmon. On August 20, 1954 he married Sally (Sleeper) Bulmon at a ceremony in Hillsdale, Michigan. George graduated from Western Michigan College with a bachelor's degree which he used in the work force as a manager of Sundstrand Manufacturing for 30 years. Even after his retirement he worked part time for the Ford dealership in Dowagiac. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clyde and Donald Bulmon. George is survived by his wife, son Mark (Debbie) Bulmon of Dowagiac, daughter Gail (Mike) Sievert of Dowagiac, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister Dorcus Thornberry of Hillsdale, Michigan. George enjoyed fishing, golfing and trips to Lake Michigan. He received the most enjoyment though when watching his grandchildren play sports. In keeping with George's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
