Franklin Delano Anglin Sr., 78, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Friday, September 30, 2011 with his family by his side. Frank was born on December 16, 1932 to the late Lummie and Ida (Pitts) Anglin in Portageville, Missouri. He was one of five children in the Anglin household. After school Frank joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country. When his enlistment was up he became a truck driver, after 37 years he retired from Central Transport and the local Teamsters Union. On October 27, 1956 Frank wed the love of his life, Mona (Roberts) Holloway. Together they raised their seven wonderful children. Frank had many loves in his life; the Lord, his church, his family, driving truck but he especially loved going to Florida in October and spending his winter fishing and telling truck stories with the neighbors until it was time to come back to Michigan in April. He was an amazing people person, who was always opinionated, and had a sense of humor all the way to the end. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob Anglin in 2009 and sister Imogene Anglin in 2010. He is survived by his loving wife, Mona, children Dale (Annette) Holloway of Niles, Remona "Sue" Anglin of Mishawaka, Becky (Todd Sr.) Sobieralski of Niles, Franklin (Pam) Anglin Jr. of Plattsburgh, New York, Jim (Lynn) Anglin of Niles, Regina (Ron) Carlisle of Niles and Tim (Jennifer) Anglin of Niles, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sisters Sabra (John) Ferenczi of Niles and Carolyn (Floyd) Vance of Niles.
