Obituary of James E. Shearer

James E. Shearer, 76, of Niles, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017, suddenly, but of natural circumstances. He was born on November 3, 1940 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Frank and Peggy (Moon) Shearer. James was a welder for most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and time spent with his family and friends. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2094 in Niles. On May 17, 2002 James married Deborah K. Kelley at a ceremony in Mishawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, James and Scott Shearer and a brother Frank Shearer. James is survived by his wife Deborah K. Shearer of Niles, a daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Shelton of Niles, a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. James' family will gather at an open house on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Niles Eagles, 34 Sycamore Street where they will celebrate his life.
