Harold Probst, 92, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. Harold Probst was born on August 10, 1919 in Pokagon, Michigan to the late Clyde and Etta (Curtis) Probst. On April 4, 1942 Harold married the love of his life Fanny (Molica) Probst at a ceremony in Niles, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister Donna Chapman. Harold is survived by his wife, two sons, Jerry Probst and Tom (Sara) Probst, daughter Judy (Dave) Stone all of Niles, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two brothers, Marvin (Betty) Probst of Dowagiac, Albert Probst of Springfield, Missouri, three sisters; Ida (Jack) Corbit of Cassopolis, Dorothy Acton of Battle Creek, Veryl Pagels of Eau Clair, Michigan Harold retired from Tyler Refrigeration as a truck driver. He enjoyed reading, camping, working with wood, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
