Obituary of Rebecca Gracey

Rebecca "Becki" May Gracey, 55, of Niles, passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly, at home on Friday, November 4, 2011. Becky was born on July 3, 1956 to the late Fred and May C. (Miswick) Gracey in Niles. She attended St. Mary's School and graduated in 1974 from Niles High School. After high school Becki went on to become a Registered Nurse. Becki was a lifetime resident of Niles and lived with her lifetime choice partner, Julie Hoch, for 17 years. Becki was a lover of the outdoors. She was a friend to all animals, great and small especially her pugs Buster, Little Bug and Buddy, her cat Abbey and the chickens at their home. She spent her free time tending to her flower and vegetable garden, swimming, listening to all types of music, dancing, cooking, enjoying the arts such as drawing and painting and especially spending time with her friends. They could always be found playing her favorite card game, euchre. Becki was also a writer; she played the organ and was always looking forward to the fireworks in the summer and the Christmas season. She loved her Sista Cynthia Becki is preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her soul mate and the love of her life, Julie Hoch and a host of extended family and friends. A celebration to honor Becki's life will be held on Friday, November 11th at Becki and Julie's home beginning at 9:00 P.M. Those wishing to make a contribution may do so to Hope Rescue Mission where Becky and Julie volunteered.
