Obituary of Michael Deane Yazell

Michael Yazell, 56, of Niles, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Lakeland Specialty Hospital after an extended illness with MS and Lung Cancer. Michael Yazell was born on January 24, 1955 in Niles to Max and Elma (Gentry) Yazell. Michael's father was in the United States Navy while he was in school which made him make several school changes including: Niles, Michigan, Argentia Newfoundland, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Azores, Portugal, Virginia, Buchanan, Michigan and graduated in 1973 from Niles High School. He worked for Henco and Delta Machining in Niles. Michael was a foreman at Delta Machining for several years. He is survived by his sons Cameron Neal Yazell and Eric Michael Yazell both of Niles, mother Elma (Hamrick) Gentry of Niles, father Max Yazell of Melbourne, Florida, brothers; Jon Robert Yazell of Niles, Joel Yazell of Buchanan and Jon David Gentry of Rochester Heights, Michigan, sister; Marla Thurston, Kimberly Yazell and Karen Danner all of South Bend, 4 nephews; Noah Yazell of Buchanan, Dakota Manthe of Niles, Ryan Gentry of Rochester Heights, Michigan and Che Danner Jr. of South Bend and a sister-n-law Kellee Gentry. Michael enjoyed watching TV, listening to music and spending time outdoors. He and his brother John even recently have went on many drives in the car just looking at all the wildlife and seeing new areas. A memorial get together will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Bertrand Township Hall, 3835 Buffalo Road, Buchanan, Michigan 49107 from 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
