Obituary of Bob G. Herrington

Bob passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. He was a life long resident of Niles. He graduated from Niles High School in 1958. Bob was employed by National Standard Corp. in 1959. Bob retired from their in 2001. On March 20, 1976 Bob married Dorothy at St. Mary's Catholic Church. In 2011 they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Mamie, father Eldon, brothers Jim and Kenny, and his half-sister Teresa. He is survived by his wife Dorothy, daughter Teri (Roger) DeLong, son Craig (Teresa) Herrington, step-son Mark (Tori) Smith, grandchildren Cameron, Robert, Christina, Ashley, and Michelle, and two great-grandsons Ethan and Gavin. Bob enjoyed baseball, football, and golf. In his younger years he played fast pitch softball at Plym Park in Niles. He spent many happy days golfing with his son Craig and his friends. Bob also enjoyed spending time with his daughter Teri discussing family history and looking at old photographs. Bob was proud to be an American and loved his country. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Memorial contribution may be made in Bob's memory to The Salvation Army; 1215 Fulton Street E.
