Obituary of Harriet Marie Bradish

Harriet M. (Pedersen) Bradish, 95, of Niles, passed away at Silverbrook Manor in Niles on Monday, January 2, 2012. Harriet was born on June 10, 1916 to the late Lauritz and Ruby (Wright) Pedersen. After graduating High School, Harriet wed Donald Bradish on September 22, 1943 at a ceremony at Langly Air Force Base in North Carolina. Together they had one son, William. Harriet was a secretary for the Niles Public School System for 13 years retiring in 1978. Harriet was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Niles Chapter of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed ceramics, a gifted seamstress and musician, collecting Betty Boop memorabilia, and classic movies. She also loved spending time on Baron Lake. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, two brothers George and Phil Pedersen and a sister Marian Vanderham. Harriet is survived by her son William "Bill" Bradish of Elkhart, Indiana, brother Raymond "Pete" Pedersen of Niles, sister Marcia Knapp of Mesa, Arizona, sister-in-law Mary Pedersen of Niles and many nieces and nephews.
