Obituary of Marilyn Joyce Earl

Marilyn Joyce (Messner) Earl, 84, of Niles, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 with her family by her side. Marilyn was born on September 4, 1927 to the late Earnest and Lyndell (Webster) Messner in Jackson, Michigan. On May 12, 1951 she wed Willie Lee Earl and together they raised one son, Ron. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings Virginia Grimes, Gary Messner, Betty, Paul Messner and Junior Messner. She is survived by her son Ron (Theresa) Earl of Niles, grandchildren Tamara Earl, Shannon Earl, Heather (Joseph) Turnock and Korie Earl and step grandchildren Brandon Harpole and Denise Harpole, two great grandchildren and siblings Duane Messner of Rives Junction, Michigan and Carol (Joe) Preston of Staffordsville, Kentucky. A memorial service to honor Marilyn's long life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Marilyn's memory to Hospice at Home, who helped take care of her in her final months.
