Obituary of Alma R. Dillinger

Alma Ruth Dillinger, 83, of Buchanan passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Robert and IDuma (Rattliff) Crawford on May 15, 1934 in Plainview, Arkansas. At a ceremony that took place in Buchanan, Alma married Bill Dillinger on June 26, 1953. Alma worked for a number of years at the Buchanan plant of Electro-voice and also took great pride in taking care of her family. From the springtime through the fall, you could find her tending to her vegetable or flower gardens which she faithfully planted every year. She was also an avid reader and was a talented artist who not only enjoyed watercolors but also sketching. Preceding Alma are her parents, her husband, four sisters; Ira Lane, Dorothy Baldwin, Eva Baker, and Dovie Abbott, and two brothers, Robert and Lee Crawford. She is survived by her three children; Lorna and Carla Dillinger, and Jeffrey (Laura) Dillinger, all of Buchanan. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Sarah McNees Milonowski of Grand Rapids, grandson, Jonathon Doane of Buchanan, a sister Lurlene Bumgardner of Arkansas, and a brother Louie (Jeanie) Crawford also of Arkansas. Funeral services for Alma will be Monday, September 11, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel in Niles with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm Those wishing to make a memorial donation may do so to Caring Circle Hospice or St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital.
