Obituary of Chester Allen Hamman

Chester Hamman, 72, died Monday. He is survived by his mother Annabelle Curtis; sons Chester A. Hamman Jr., Robert D. (Penny) Hamman, Anthony M. (Julie) Hamman, James A. (Melissa) Hamman; daughter, Dora A. (John) Shepherd; 7 grandchildren James and Jennifer Shepherd, Dale, Joshua, Bryan, Amber and Mitchell Hamman; 9 great grandchildren Julia, James Jr., Natali, Keaton, Blaike, Gauge, Keylei, Karson and baby Joey and sisters Frances Curtis, Brenda Irons and Mary (Bobby) Wiley.
Chet worked at Simplicity Pattern of Niles for 30+ years. Chet enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing but mostly he loved being a grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Chet's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel on M-51 in Niles.
