Obituary of Beverly Jean Herman

Beverly J. Herman died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at her home in Stevensville. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ 182 S. Church St. in Coloma. Beverly was born June 20, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana. She married Arthur Herman Jr. in 1947 and together they had five children. Arthur (Kristine) Herman III, Dennis Herman, Jill (Brett Ogden) Svoboda, Tammy (Steve) Shembarger and Karin (Henry) Thomas. Nine grandchildren, Nichole (Ray) Smith, Daniel (Jill) Svoboda, David Svoboda, Ashley(Will Thorsberg) Shembarger, Benjamin Shembarger, Jaime Thomas, Aaron Thomas and Jennabeth Thomas. Great-grandchildren Zachary, Aiden, Charley and Devin. One brother Bud (Shirley) Tyler and special feline companion CeCe. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 9 brothers and sisters and a daughter in law. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan. Beverly loved her pets, feeding the birds and loved to talk to most anyone who would listen. Her presence in this world will be missed by all who knew and had the privilege to meet her.
