Edwin “Costa” Acosta, 75, of Buchanan, Michigan passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2023 at his home.

He was born to the late Gregory Acosta Villogo and Carmen Acosta Rosario on November 4, 1947 in New York City, New York.

After graduating from Amityville High School in 1967, Edwin began a career with the postal service where he retired after twenty-five years of service.

Edwin was a faithful member of the Buchanan Kingdom Hall and cherished his time he spent witnessing.  He found great enjoyment in the outdoors and looked forward to camping trips.  A lover of music, Edwin loved jazz music, salsa, and could often be found playing congas.  His brother, David describes Edwin as a caring older brother who looked out for him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Carmen Acosta and his brother, Gregory Acosta, Jr.

Edwin is survived by his children; Jenett Acosta of Connecticut, Allegra Acosta of New York, Justin Acosta of New York, his brother, David Acosta of Niles.  He also leaves a special niece, Christie Acosta and best friend Alan Jackson.

In keeping with Edwin’s wishes cremation has taken place and his family will be remembering him privately.
