Obituary of Thomas David Turner

Thomas Turner Jr., 40, formerly of Niles, passed away unexpectedly in Johnson City, Tennessee on March 20, 2012, surrounded by his family, friends, cadre and cadets.
Thomas Turner Jr. was born on November 29, 1971 in South Bend, Indiana to Thomas and Judy (Kyles) Turner.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army for ten years (1995-2005). After his military service he continued to contribute to the Armed Forces by inspiring college students at ETSU on their path to becoming Officers.
On August 13, 1994 Thomas married the love of his life and best friend Angel (Kussard) Turner at a ceremony in Michigan.
Thomas' life was blessed with two beautiful children, his son Kyle Turner and daughter Vivian Turner, both of Jonesborough, TN.
He was also fortunate enough to have two siblings that traveled with him in his heart to all corners of the globe, Brother David (Jennifer) Turner of Buchanan, and a Sister Yvonne (Rodric) Williams of Niles.
He is survived by his Grandmother Clem (Jim) Brown and their children Cyndi Tatich, Pam & Ray Brown, Sherry & Chris Simmons, Kim Myers, Bobbi Snyder, parents Tom & Judy Turner, Wife Angel Turner and children Kyle and Vivian Turner, Brother David & Jenn Turner (Ricky, Kaydee, Brealynn, Savannah Rose, Kyle, Devin), Sister Yvonne & Rodric (Josh, Cassidy, D'Andre, Brianna) Williams, Aunt Barb & Gary Reed, Uncle Larry Homan. Aunt Kathy Baranowski, Uncle Bob & Cathy Littlejohn, John & Kathy Littlejohn, Aunt Millie & Dennis Jast, Uncle Joe & Sue Horvath, Aunt Dolly & Bill Guernsey, Uncle Bill White, Aunt Candy Lynn Rickman, a loving father-n-law, Pat Kussard and brother-n-law Jeff Kussard also numerous cousins, other family members and friends that loved him.
He is preceded in death by his best friend, hero, confident and fishing companion, his grandfather Charles Kyles (Granddaddy) and grandmother Willard Kyles (Momo). Grandma Pat Horvath. Uncle Harvel Rickman. Aunt Willie Miller.
He enjoyed bass fishing, hiking, spending time with his family, listening to music, learning the guitar. He most enjoyed leading and inspiring others to do their best.
Thomas was loved by all and will be deeply missed.
