Obituary of Kathleen Ann Lutin

Kathleen Ann Lutin, 56, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.

Kathy was born on June 19, 1966, to the late Bobby Jr and Delores (Weiss) Worvey in Niles.  In 1985 she graduated with honors from Niles High School.  Kathy then Joined the United States Army until she had her first child with her husband, Chuck Lutin. She was a lunch lady at Oak Manor School and also worked at Save Mart in Niles as a cashier and stayed through their transition to Harding’s Friendly Market until her health required her to retire in the mid 2000’s

When Kathy was younger, she enjoyed crocheting and being a Girl Scout leader.  Kathy loved taking pictures of unique clouds and will be remembered through all the pictures she took.  Kathy was a longtime member of, and loved attending, Hope Community Church.  She loved her grandchildren tremendously and enjoyed spoiling them along with her pets, Jade, Scooter, Blossom, and Nala.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Jr. and Delores Worvey.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 37 years, Charles Lutin of Niles; children, Ryan Lutin of Niles, Ashley Lutin of Niles, and Amanda Dunnem of Niles; grandchildren, Breyden, Page, Dalton, Diamond, Jeremiah, and Sarah; siblings, Barbara (Bob) Fay of Buchanan and Bobby (Kim) Worvey III of Niles; and many extended family members and close friends.

Funeral services to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Hope Community Church in Niles at Noon with a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until Noon.  Pastor Mike Smith will be officiating and before she passed Kathy asked that everyone in attendance wear something bright and colorful in her memory.
