Obituary of Sharon Elaine Hooker

Sharon Hooker, 70, of Battle Creek, passed away at Glen Arbor Hospice in Battle Creek on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 following an illness.

 

She was born on January 28, 1953 in Battle Creek to the late Eugene and Lucille (Smith) Streeter.

 

She worked for many years as a general laborer at a processing facility. On October 23, 1995 Sharon married Charles L. Hooker at a ceremony in Dothin, Alabama. A Jehovah’s Witness, Sharon’s faith was very important to her. 

 

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ricky Schisser and siblings, Colleen Hooker and Dan Streeter.

 

She is survived by her husband, Charles Hooker of Battle Creek; children, Walter Schisser of Manton, Michigan, Christine Schisser-Bigelow  of Manton, Michigan and Daniel (Ashley) Hooker of Cowards, Alabama; six grandchildren and siblings, Patrick (Brenda) Streeter of Alabama and Michael Streeter of Tennessee along with several extended family members.

 

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

 

Memorial contributions may be made in care of her family.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Niles.
