Obituary of Gary Evans Hulett

Gary E. Hulett, 83, of Cassopolis, passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home.  

He was born on February 13, 1940, to the late E. H. and Elaine (Strang) Hulett, in Niles, Michigan. After graduating from Niles High School in 1958, he wed the former Mable Miller on August 20, 1960, in Niles, Michigan. Together they owned and operated U.S. Business Systems.

Gary enjoyed classic cars, restoring old tractors, and hunting for treasures at the local flea markets. Gary and Mable enjoyed wintering in Texas for several years before her passing in 2020.

He was preceded in death by his parents E. H. and Elain Hulett; his beloved wife of sixty years, Mable; brothers, Terry Hulett and Dennis Hulett.

 Gary is survived by his children, Tim (Nicky) Hulett of Cassopolis; Mark (Kelly) Hulett of Cassopolis; Ron (Penny) Hulett of Constantine; six grandchildren, Britnie Kocsis, Cody Hulett, Taylor Hulett, Jessie Hulett, Ian Hulett, and Carli Hulett; two great-grandchildren, Kirie Kocsis and Briea Kocsis.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel, 61453 M-51 Niles, with Pastor Bob Jackson officiating. A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at Mission Hills Memorial Garden.
