Obituary of Ruth Ann Bever

Ruth Ann Bever, 79, of Niles, passed away at Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.

Ruth was born on July 7, 1943, to the late Everett and Myrtle (Jerrell) Conrad in Niles. Michigan.  After graduating from Niles High School, Ruth went on to attend IUSB in their dental program where she later taught.  After her career at IUSB she went on to work as an administrative manager at a dental practice in South Bend.  In 1984 she wed Kenneth Bever at a ceremony in Niles. Kenny and Ruth were not only the absolute best of friends but they were true soulmates.  They loved spending time together fishing and boating on Lake Michigan in their 36-foot Carver.  They also traveled all over the country in their motorhome. Ruth will be remembered by her grandchildren as the fun grandma who always hosted parties.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Barbara Gaedtke and Nancy Hatch.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Bever; children, Loraine Duffield of Niles, Kraig (Denise) Bever of Buchanan, Kara (Scott) Sloniker of St. Joseph, and Dean (Paula) Heath of Niles; grandchildren, Brycen and Carrigan Duffield, Hannah Bever, Sydney and Zachary Sloniker, and Hunter and Drake Heath; her fur babies, that she loved so much, Georgie and Bivvie; and many extended family members and close friends.

In keeping with the families wishes Ruth has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately.
