Obituary of Mildred Bluthardt

Mildred Bluthardt, 84, of Battle Creek, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at her home.

She was born on November 2, 1938, to the late Clair and Mae (Cardwell) Schneider in Morgantown, Kentucky.

On August 10, 1968, she married Russell Bluthardt at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Battle Creek.

Mildred was a longtime member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Battle Creek. She enjoyed reading mystery’s especially Perry Mason. In her free time, you would often find her shopping for clothes, or browsing through the booths at the Shipshewana Flea Market. Mildred was a wonderful, caring, loving grandmother, her grandchildren adored her.

Preceding Mildred are her parents, her husband Russell and her sister, Louise Cardwell.

Mildred is survived by her children, Karen Bluthardt of California; John (Susan) Long of Battle Creek; Diana Feczer of Germany; John (Cheryl) Bluthardt of Battle Creek; Carl Bluthardt of Minnesota; Chris Weigandt of Battle Creek, Jeff Bluthardt of Battle Creek; a very special grandson, Gilbert Talamantez; ten other grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Springfield. An interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
