Obituary of John Joseph

John M. Joseph, 78, of Niles passed away at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville in the early hours of Friday, July 28, 2017, with his wife and family by his side. John was born on June 25, 1939, to the late Roscoe and Josephine Joseph in Hueysville, Kentucky. John graduated from Riley High School and went on to retire as a Custodian from the Penn Harris School District. Along with working at Penn Harris John was also lucky enough in life to have a second job that became a passion. He was an usher for Notre Dame Football. At home, he was a TV commentator, remote hogger, and teller of bad jokes but at Notre Dame, he was a statistic sharing, random fact teller who absolutely loved his job. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carol Collins and Ruth Barton. John is survived by his wife, Brenda Joseph; children, Megan Joseph of Niles, Jennifer (Dave) DeMatteo of Argos, Indiana, Josh (Mary) Wiggins of Marcellus, Michigan; granddaughter, Chloe; brothers, Jim (Maria) Joseph of Tennessee and Roscoe (Mary Ellen) Joseph of Laporte, Indiana; and many extended family members and close friends. Funeral services to honor John's life will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Brown Funeral Home in Niles at 2:00 p.m. with a time of visitation beginning at Noon.
