The loss of my childhood friend Joe is deeply heart-felt. He'll forever be remembered for his vibrant personality and genuine kindness. Although geography played a major part in us not seeing each other for years at a time, social media allowed us to celebrate and acknowledge births, birthdays and milestones of our children and grandchildren, and mourn the loss of parents and other loved ones. Life on this earth is so short and time passes so fast. It goes without saying that we wish we had more time with Joe, one more conversation, one more laugh, however, it's comforting to know that all those memories will remain. God had a much better place for you and your spirit will live on. Rest easy my friend.

Driving by your church; knowing that you are no longer there will always grieve my spirit.
