Obituary of Shana Chrismon

Shana M. Chrismon, 44, of Niles passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Lakeland Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, and friends.

She was born on May 5, 1978, in Allegan, Michigan to Kevin and Esther (McKenzie) Grindstaff. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Southwestern Michigan College where she earned an associate’s degree in graphic design. She also obtained several certifications in different areas.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Oscar and Mary McKenzie, Leon and Rose Grindstaff; uncles, Orlando McKenzie, Tim Grindstaff; and a nephew, Kore Smith.

Shana is survived by her husband Kendall of Niles, children, Cami Christie of Niles; Kendall Chrismon Jr. of Niles; Kahtana Chrismon of Cassopolis; three grandchildren, Kashtyn, Kezlyn, Kemryn; parents, Kevin, and Esther Grindstaff of Edwardsburg; brother, Chris and his wife, Heather Grindstaff of Edwardsburg; sister, Meranda and her husband Jayson Shepard of Elkhart; nieces and nephews, Carter, Grace, Paisley, Gatlin, Sylas, Kobe, Jason Jr., and Jayla.

A celebration of Shana’s life will be held as an open house on Sunday, January 29, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Columbia Club, 520 Platt St., Niles, Michigan 49120.
