Obituary of Trevor Kyle Nilson

Trevor K. “Boo-Boo” Nilson Jr., 18, of Edwardsburg, passed away tragically on Saturday, December 31, 2022 due to injuries sustained in a motor-vehicle accident in Cass County.

He was born on June 18, 2004 in Niles to Trevor D. Sr. and Linda F. (Carroll) Nilson.

Trevor recently attended Edwardsburg Public Schools. Boo Boo, as he was known to everyone as, was always outgoing and always wanted to help others. He enjoyed listening to a variety of music, cooking, animals, spending time outdoors, watching movies and liked to keep things cleaned and organized. While being a kid at heart and absolutely loved spending time with all of his nieces and nephews, he could also be an old soul. He was a man of deep faith and learned at an early age to rely upon God and knew the bible very well. He was also very respectful and kind to anyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his siblings, Tyler and Joshua Nilson as well as Jamie Sharrai.

Boo Boo leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Trevor Sr. and Linda Nilson of Edwardsburg; his siblings, Margaret Hargreaves of Watervliet, Amber Sharrai of Edwardsburg, Steven Sharrai (Nicole, Angelia and Delesantos) of Niles, Christopher (Summer) Sharrai of Niles, Levi Sharrai of Edwardsburg, Dakota DeLoach of Edwardsburg, Catherine (Mike) Hargreaves of Galien, Sena (Jonnie) Fonseca of Edwardsburg, Anna Whittaker and Breanne Potter, Jamie’s friends, Brad Lowe and Paul Erler; aunts and uncles, Shawn (Joey) Lampton of Indiana, Stacey Poe of Dowagiac, Laura (Doc) Strickland of Georgia, Connie Strickland of Georgia, Tina (Carlton) Melton of Hartford, John (Maria) Nilson of Hartford and Kimberly Nilson of Watervliet and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends and a great-niece.

Funeral services to celebrate Boo Boo’s life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation beginning one hour prior.

The family has asked for memorial contributions to be directed to Brown Funeral Home in Niles to assist with expenses. The funeral home may be reached at 269-683-1155.
