Obituary of Larry Keith Bozarth
Larry Keith Bozarth, 81, of Battle Creek, passed away in his home, surrounded by family on Thursday, December 22, 2022, after an extended illness.
Larry was born on June 29, 1941, to the late William E. and Cleo (Lemon) Bozarth in Augusta, Michigan.
Larry was a hard worker, priding himself on being a caring, compassionate supervisor. He worked at Keiper Recaro for twenty-two years, until the factory closed. He then worked at a local factory until he retired and helped his wife, June start their own successful business as J & L Sunny Adult Foster Care. Larry cared for people up till his passing. He loved life and his family, always being the voice of reason or the person you could trust to talk to about anything. Larry loved his family, friends, life, and his dogs, Louie and Tuney. His great-grandchildren were always able to bring a smile to his face and he held them in a special place in his heart for them by singing Chantilly Lace, a tradition he started with his daughter, Terri and her friends. He was an avid Detroit Tiger, Michigan State and Detroit Lions fan and enjoyed watching their games on television.
He married the love of his life June “June Bug” West on October 28, 1977 in Battle Creek.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Larry Steven Bozarth.
He is survived by his wife, June Bozarth; his six children, Carmen (Scott) Miller , Mindy (Joe) Claudill, Jessy (Kim) Lower, Connie (Gary) Salyer, Corey Bozarth and Terri (Tony) Fracassi; Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; six siblings; Janice F. (Tory) Swinford, Judy D. Stinnett, Teresa J. (Todd) Blake, MaryBeth (Edwin) Moreland, Charles E. (Linda) Bozarth, and Douglas G. (Peggy) Bozarth.
