Obituary of Margie Crouch

Marjorie “Margie” Crouch, 58, of Cassopolis, passed away unexpectedly, of natural causes, on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the Spectrum Lakeland Hospital in Niles, surrounded by her loved ones.

Margie was born on July 27, 1964 in Three Rivers, Michigan to James and Bonnie (Roberts) Loux.

She graduated from Cassopolis High School, class of 1982 and worked for many years as a waitress and bartender for several local establishments including In-Between and Sports Page. She was also gifted as a massage therapist and owned several rental properties. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Margie was passionate about her love for her pets, cats, dogs and horses through the years. She looked forward to volunteering at the Donnell Lake Conservation Club in Vandalia. Margie had a variety of turtle figurines she has collected and enjoyed watching John Wayne movies. Margie spent countless days on the pontoon boat at the family cabin on Silver Lake.

Margie is preceded in death by her father, James Loux.

Surviving is her husband of eighteen years, Thomas Crouch of Cassopolis; her mother, Bonnie Loux of Cassopolis and her sister, Melissa (James) Hamman of Niles. She will also be dearly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles.

A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Margie’s life will be held at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 219 S. State Street, in Niles, on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Marjorie will be laid to rest at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Cassopolis.
