Lyle J. Pierce, 89, of Niles, passed away at Lakeland Hospital in Niles on Sunday, April 8, 2012.
Lyle was born on March 31, 1923 to the late Martin and Mildred (Mendonhall) Pierce in Dowagiac, Michigan
On October 15, 1955 Lyle wed Joyce Bailey at a ceremony in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lyle retired from Bendix.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce in 2011, brother Glenn Pierce and sister Louise Boughton.
Lyle is survived by two sons Roger (Anne) Pierce of Granger and Larry Pierce of South Bend, three grandchildren; Alex (Sunnshyne) Pierce of Elkhart, Jared Pierce and Sabrina Pierce both of Granger, a great-granddaughter Brooklynn Pierce of Elkhart and one great grandchild on the way.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10:00 am with Pastor Brad Lomax officiating.
